Title IX Policy

Policy Statement

It is the policy of the Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) and the Division of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) within the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) (hereinafter the two will be referenced as “DARS”) to comply with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits discrimination based on sex (including sexual harassment and sexual violence) in all of DARS’ programs and activities funded by federal education dollars. DARS will process all formal Title IX complaints while also prohibiting retaliation for asserting or otherwise participating in claims of sex discrimination.

DARS is required to adopt and publish its Title IX policy and procedures. Title IX applies to Virginia’s vocational rehabilitation agencies. The DARS Title IX Policy and Procedure Manual can be found by clicking this link
