The APS Dashboard will provide a visual representation of how local departments of social services are performing when providing adult protective services to vulnerable adults. Dashboards can answer questions about a local department’s compliance with state mandates and regulations and enable local departments the opportunity to compare their performance with other locals within their region or of comparable size throughout Virginia. Having a public facing dashboard enables citizens to view these statistics and facilitates transparency and accountability for the program. WEB STANDARDS
At a minimum, this web site meets Section 508 and at least Level A Conformance to WCAG 1.0. On January 18, 2017, the U.S. Access Board published a final rule as the new standard for website accessibility. The rule requires adherence to the new accessibility standards twelve months from its date of publication. DARS is working towards WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance.
